Properties:
Without odour and poison, Stimulative to the skin and
the respiratory tract. Soluble in chlorlfom acetone,
methylene chloride, benzene; not easily soluble in carbon
tetrachloride, ethyl acetate; insoluble in water and
gasoline
Appliccation:
TMTD can be used as a single accelerator, as a secondary
accelerator or as a sulfur donor in most sulfur-cured
elastomers, heat aging and compression set resistance.Good
color retention is obtained in non-black vulcanizates.
TMTD is a valuable secondary accelerator for EPDM. In
the vulcanization of polychloroprene rubber with N.
N’-ethylene thiourea, TMTD may be used as a retarder.
